Vacation Must-Haves (Guest Post)

Hi! I am Kim from Pink, Pearls and Polka Dots!

In honor of Vicki's fabulous vacation I put together a list of items that are on my summer vacation shopping list!

A good beachy bag

I love this one from Target.

One of the reasons I love this bag so much…it's a good bang for your buck. It's cute enough to not just be beachy bag. I would use this bag toting my papers back and forth from work. Throwing some baby stuff in when I am visiting friends/family. It definitely a seasonal bag...but for the summer season I feel it doesn't have limitations!

Jergens Tanning lotion

I love this stuff and I use it every year. It helps give me a tad bit of color before I go out in the sun and shock the pale skin right off this body!!

If you want to step it up a notch I also LOVE this product called Sun which can be found at Ulta.

It's a tad bit pricey compared to Jergens...but I feel like you get what you pay for with this product. It works great, and gives a great brown glow as oppose to an orange shade that we all try desperately to avoid! And…you can usually find a coupon for Ulta which makes it worth it too. I use both products off and of throughout the summer months to be ready for my vacations!

A bathing suit. Let's face it...who likes buying one of these! And if you are like me... it's not something you are usually PUMPED to buy...so you are not looking to drop a good chunk of change on it either. Again...I am sending you to Target. They have really cute bathing suits. You can mix and match pieces (and sizes! I mean who is the same size on top and bottom?!) And at typically $20 a piece...you can't beat it.

Here is an ad from Target’s website of their mix and match line. Cute, right?

Some super cute sandals...that you don't need to drop $80 on. Check these out from LuLu's. Aren't they perfect? And they are literally $29. They would go with everything in your summer wardrobe!

And what else do you need to enjoy a good vacation or a day at the beach??!! A good book.

Right now I am reading 50 Shades of Grey. I gave in too the hype and HAD to check it out. It's cheesy, addicting, and flat out chic lit to it's max. Pick it up for your summer getaway!

Vicki - I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip!!! Thank you so much for letting me guest post!

Photo Dump: Outfit Of The Day

I have to admit: I've been  loving using instagram to display my outfit of the days ... I like to try to keep up with the trends as much as possible (which is fairly easy considering my sister is the ultimate little fashionista).  I think its fun to look back and see the cute outfits I piece together that are trendy but still true to my own sense of style! So this is a photo dump of my recent #ootd pictures:

Fifty Shades Of Gorgeous

It seems to be the great debate lately:
Who will/should play Ana & Grey in the movie adaption of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy:

As we speak I just started the third (and final for now?) book ... and love it I do! :)

So who would my star-studded cast consist of for the movie? If I could choose I would cast the following:

The Main Characters: Ana Steele

Zooey Deschanel - via  /  Missy Peregrym - via

Initially I thought Zooey would be a good fit for Ana, but then decided she would maybe be a little too awkward/dorky for the part.  So then I decided to go with Missy ... I love her.  She is beautiful and I think she could really rock the part of Ms. Steele :)

The Main Characters: Christian Grey

Matt Lanter - via  /   Kellan Lutz - via

My first choice is Kellan ... I like Matt too but I don't think he is dark/broody enough to pull off the role.  I'm really not liking any of the names Hollywood is throwing around as potential suitors for the role of Mr. Grey.  Some of them I can see ... but I swear if Ed Westwick gets picked to play this part I'm seriously going to gag, cry and protest ... no offense to any of his fans, I find him absolutely repulsive and not the least bit attractive or Grey worthy!!!

Supporting Characters: Mrs. Robinson

Demi Moore - via  /  Madeleine Stowe - via

Either of these ladies can make for an amazing Mrs. Robinson.  Initially my pick was Demi but the more I thought about it I thought Madeleine would be able to completely encompass the role of the Mrs. R. - especially after seeing how well she portrays the powerful Victoria on Revenge. Another contender actress I could totally see fitting in the role is Angelina Jolie but I think she is a bit too young for the part!

Supporting Characters: Leila

  Scarlett Johansson - via

I think Scarlett would make the perfect Leila! Something tells me she would make for an amazing scorned lover-turned crazy yet still  show her vulnerability at the same time!

Supporting Characters: Kate

  Leven Rambin - via

Anna's best friend Kate is beautiful, intelligent, poised yet not afraid to speak her mind.  I think Leven would make a really, really good Kate!

Supporting Characters: Jose

 Mark Salling - via

Mark matches Jose’s physical description exactly, and he totally has the edgy photographer thing going on, plus we all know how much I love him so it will be extra fun to have him fill this role! (The only downfall will be that it will make it a little bit harder for me to be Team Grey with Mark in the role of Jose hahaha)

Supporting Characters: Taylor

  Daniel Sunjata - via

Taylor needs to be someone good looking, strong, and cool.  I think Daniel would fit the bill as someone who could have some casual flirtatious banter with Anna but still get the job of being Grey's multi-talented right-hand man done.

No matter who they cast for the movie version of the Fifty trilogy - one thing is for sure:
This might just be the most beautifully cast film in movie history .... ::swoon::

Whose your 'dream cast' for the Fifty Shades of Grey movies?!?!
